Preparation & Pressure
The habits behind the match.
I usually practice around five days a week and lift around five days a week.
Training changes based on match schedule, soreness, recovery, and what my body actually needs.
Some gym sessions are short. Others are much longer. The point is to be ready, not to pretend every day is the same.
People do not always see the little things: stretching, stringing racquets, packing, recovery work, sauna sessions, and the details that make match day feel less chaotic.
Prepared for anything means I am not worried when something goes wrong. I have already trained myself to adapt.
Teammates and coaches trust me to lead, be honest, and perform under pressure.
Athletes are rarely 100%.
I believe athletes are rarely 100%. You have to learn how to play your best when you do not feel your best.
I have had to adapt and do the best I can with what I have on a given day.
One of the hardest things as an athlete is reprogramming the voice in the back of my mind that constantly doubts me.
